Alumni Association Board Members


Travis Avila*** class of 2007. Travis is Treasurer of the Building Corporation and works closely with the active chapter with their financial management. Travis is a Sr. Program Manager with NTT Data, an insurance software and data center. He resides in Lincoln.

Dustin Bartley*** class of 2002. Dustin (DB) is the leader of the Chapter Advisory Committee providing guidance and assistance to our Theta Chi Actives and Pledges. DB works for the Nebraska Supreme Court in the Administrative Office of Probation as a Quality Compliance Reviewer.

Greg Bergt, class of 1971. Greg has a chemistry degree from NWU. He is a principal in Bergt Consulting which performs a significant amount of consulting work in China. He also has served on the President's Board of Advisors at NWU and recently became a member of the Heritage Society. Greg and his wife, Diann, live in Omaha.

Connor Bohlken, class of 2016. Connor has mathematics and physics majors from NWU and is teaching at the Denver School of Science and Technology. He was president of Gamma Phi during both his junior and senior years and was elected Homecoming King of Wesleyan in 2015.  In 2016, at the Theta Chi National Convention, Connor, was chosen as the outstanding student athlete of Theta Chi. (out of 8,100 Theta Chi active members.)

Jerry Clark, class of 1960. Currently President of the Theta Chi Alumni Association - NWU. Jerry enjoyed a 40 year career in the "reinsurance" industry, most recently as marketing manager for General Electric's US based life and health reinsurance companies. He and his wife, Mary Lynn, reside in Leawood, Kansas.

Andrew Coughlin, MD*, class of 2004. Andy now lives in Omaha where in his medical practice he specializes in the treatment of cancer of the ENT. He is a past Gamma Phi president.

Randy Harrington, class of 1997. lives in Holley Springs, NC with his wife Kara.  He is the Town Manager for the City of Holley Springs. He received a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina.  Randy is a past president of Gamma Phi.

Bernie Heier, class of 1965. Bernie, until recently was the owner/manager of a large scale farming operation near Walton, NE. He also was a Lancaster County Supervisor for fourteen years. Bernie and his wife Connie, (a Phi Mu) now live in Lincoln.

Kurt Hookstra, class of 1991.  Kurt is originally from Central City, NE and now resides in Overland Park, KS.  He is Director of Therapy Operations in a four-state area for Concentra. Kurt is a past president of Gamma Phi.

Trent Maly, DC*, class of 2000. Trent is the Secretary of our Alumni Association and the Building Corporation. He practices with the Mosier/Timperley Chiropractic Clinic. At our Theta Chi Homecoming event in 2016, he was presented with the George T. Kilavos Alumni Award from Theta Chi International. He and his wife, Tiffany, and their four boys live in Lincoln.

Blaine Rieke, JD, class of 1955. Blaine and his wife, Linda, have two homes, Milwaukee in the summer and on Amelia Island, FL during the winter months. Blaine is past Chairman and CEO of First Wisconsin Trust Co. in Milwaukee and a Director of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. He is a past president of Gamma Phi and received the George T. Kilavos Alumni Award from Theta Chi in 2017 for his dedication to the mortgage elimination campaign for our fraternity house.

Todd Sneller, class of 1975.  Todd recently retired after a 40 year run as agency Administrator for the Nebraska Ethanol Board.  During this time, he published many books and papers regarding this industry. He also served on the Theta Chi Building Corp. board for 10 years, 5 years as President. Additionally, was a member of Alumni Associates at NWU and was presented with the NWU Alumni Loyalty Award. He currently is the principal of Sneller Associates, a bio-fuels consulting partnership. He and his wife Mary live in Lincoln.
                                                                                                                                                                
Robb Urschel, class of 1987. Robb is the Director of Human Resources at Triumph Foods, LLC in St. Joseph, Missouri. Robb is a past president of Gamma Phi. He resides in Overland Park, Kansas.
